It is important that you take essentials on your trip in your Class C on your family trip. You want to make sure everyone has the appropriate clothing that complements the weather of your destination. Check to see if you need sweatshirts or added sun protection. Make sure you have boots for hiking, swim wear, socks, and enough changes of clothing. Don’t forget to pack extra sunscreen and bug spray in your Class C RV.

You will want to take some key items in your Class C RV order to enhance your experience in nature. There are several nature identifying adventure books that you can check out at your library or purchase. Take binoculars and a magnifying glass to watch for birds or insects. Make sure you have your camera and a scrapbook, so that you can sit at your Class C Unit table and create a memory book of the family’s journey. If you do plan on hiking, don’t forget packable snack foods and reusable water bottles in the Class C unit before leaving your home point of origin.

Leave this at home

On your Class C RVing excursion with your kids, make sure you don’t let them carry any video games, iPods, or other electronics on board. While you, the adult, should keep a phone for emergencies, don’t let the kids have theirs. The purpose of the trip is to travel in your Class C motorhome and enjoy one another.

What if it rains?

To be safe in case of a rainy day, pack some fun indoors activities. Board games and a deck of cards are always fun, as are books. Encourage everyone to play the games or spend time with one another in the family spaces of the Class C RV. Even reading individually, but in the same room, creates a happy energy. Make sure to have several options that are age-appropriate.

Pack simple to make foods

Hamburgers and hotdogs, along with fresh fruits and veggies, are always good for camping. They can be grilled over an open flame or campfire, even the veggies can be skewered, and homemade S’mores are never a letdown.
