Whale Watching - One of the Many Adventures in Cabo San Lucas

by Paul Garnett

When the great waters of the Pacific Ocean meet the Sea of Cortez, what would you expect? Of course, great whale shows! These huge mammals most often visit a sanctuary in Cabo San Lucas, particularly the Magdalena Bay, especially during mating and birthing seasons. This is also the time that whale watching is a popular attraction in Cabo San Lucas.

If you are looking for great adventures in Cabo, you need not look for one because everything seemed to be everywhere. Choices and alternatives abound. If you love whale-watching, you can join whale watching tours in Cabo and enjoy hours of whale exhibitions in their natural habitat.

Whale watching is especially good if you are bringing the kids with you on vacation, if you are vacationing with the entire family. Wale watching indeed is a good adventure for all ages.

Whale watching tours often include services transport services from your hotel to Magdalena Bay. You will still have a boat ride to the actual sanctuary of the great whales and there you can fully enjoy the sight of whales jumping out of the waters and sometimes with their young.

The excitement of whale watching comes when these huge mammals are spyhopping. This happens when they tend to be ’standing’ in the water, their bodies submerged except their heads, and they tend to observe their surroundings.

Definitely, this whale watching adventure is one activity ideal for family bonding time. As whale watching tours can take almost one whole day from your vacation, tour companies can also lead you to a good restaurant after the activity. These companies will also be taking care of your transport back to the hotel.

It is however advisable to budget your time if you decide to go for the whale watching adventure as this can take a relatively longer time from your vacation.

Whale watching can’t be done throughout the year as whales often visit Cabo during the months of January to March, so if you happen to be in Cabo at those times, you can join some whale watching tours. If you are still planning to go to Cabo and enjoy whale-watching adventures, you might want to consider going there on these months too.
